Best Practices for a Positive Candidate Experience

If you’re relatively new to being a hiring manager or you haven’t hired in a while, there are some best practices you should bear in mind to make the process a positive one for both you and your candidates.  

⭐️   Whether you’re working with an in-house recruiter, an external recruiter like those of us at The Source and Recruit Company, or no recruiter, make sure everyone involved in the hiring process has a clear picture of the right target candidates.  

⭐️   Answer every inquiry — even the obvious non-fits. It’s just good manners. 

⭐️   Be transparent about the hiring process, letting applicants know what to expect once they’ve applied — even if it’s an automated email response to their application. 

⭐️   Be flexible with interview scheduling, keeping in mind that people are often trying to fit interviews into their existing workdays.
